DC Fast Charging Piles, also known as Level 3 chargers, are high-power charging systems for electric vehicles (EVs). They convert grid AC power to DC and deliver it directly to the EV battery, bypassing the vehicle's onboard charger. This enables significantly faster charging speeds, typically adding 100-200km of range in just 30 minutes. Power output commonly ranges from 50kW to over 350kW. These stations are critical for enabling long-distance travel and reducing charging anxiety. Strategically located along highways and in urban centers, they utilize standardized connectors like CCS, CHAdeMO, and Tesla's NACS to serve a wide range of EV models.
